About My Writing Journey
About me
My passion for writing began in elementary school when my beloved first grade teacher praised and displayed my story about the school's playground. I illustrated the cover with stick figures who ran, fell, slid on the sliding board, and laughed on the teeter-totter. My story wasn't Bronte quality, but seeing it stapled on the front bulletin board of the classroom sparked my confidence as a writer.
Many years later, attending the Asheville Christian Writers Conference ignited my vision for a career in Christian authorship. The speakers inspired us to embrace our God-given talent and the call to write, not for ourselves, but for God's kingdom.
My joy of writing comes from sharing my thoughts and life experiences with readers through uplifting devotions, magazine articles, and short stories, as well as a full-length manuscript (women's fiction) currently awaiting publication.
The process of writing fully engages my mind and heart, and mastering the craft lasts a lifetime.

My work has appeared in the following publications, showcasing my journey in Christian authorship: Focus on the Family magazine, Christiandevotions.us, and Strength & Grace Devotional (for caregivers of the elderly). Additionally, my faith stories are featured in Pray a Word a Day, Volume Two, Pray a Word for Strength, and Too Amazing for Coincidence. I have also recently completed a full-length manuscript in the genre of Women's Fiction, which includes uplifting devotions.
